Activities to Fill Your Day

One of only a few truly oceanfront properties in the area, Kona Bali Kai lets you enjoy the Hawaii sounds and Pacific Ocean views up close and personal.  You can spend your days snorkeling, scuba diving, golfing, hiking, surfing, boogie boarding or one of the many other activities available.  Then come home to your condo and enjoy the evening sunset dipping into the ocean while sitting on your private lanai.  Below are some of the activities that we recommend during your stay at Sunny Kona Condos.  If you want more in depth coverage of the Big Island, we recommend buying a good travel guide.  This will help prepare you for the many opportunities this incredible Island has to offer.

Experience the town of Kailua-Kona

Heading north along Ali'i Drive will bring you to the heart of the town of Kailua-Kona. This charming town is a delightful mix of historical sites and modern tourist attractions where you will find excellent restaurants and shopping.

Scuba Diving and Snorkeling

The Kona Coast of the Big Island is host to some of the best diving in the Hawaiian Islands.  Here you have opportunities to see countless turtles and endemic tropical fish species seen nowhere else in the world.  Add to that the opportunity to see humpback whales, sharks, manta rays and dolphin, and this is truly a spectacular diving destination.  For outstanding information about shore diving, please visit ShoreDiving.com.  For an excellent dive boat operator, you can't go wrong with Dive Makai.  It's like viewing a nature show befor every dive!

Hiking and Exploring Waipio Valley

Waipio valley and the entire coastline from the valley to Hilo offer incredible views and hiking opportunities.  The beautiful thing about the big island is that there is a little bit of everything, and it's virtually all within day-trip driving distance.  Sunny Kona Condos is a great home base for your daily explorations.
